The size of 3rd Gen Amaze is the same as the previous one. As it is built on the same chassis, the wheelbase also stays the same.
The total length of 3995mm, corresponds to the closest competitors such as Hyundai Aura and Maruti Suzuki Dzire. However, it has gotten much wider, providing improved internal space. The ground clearance has also increased, by 2 mm which keeps the car above the ground by 172 mm. The 4.7-meter turning radius is also the same as the previous one.
Although it isn't very noticeable, the boot space has decreased by 4 liters, making it 416 liters. However, the top two models will now have larger 15-inch alloy wheels. The new Amaze significantly enhances the visual mass that Honda conveyed with the second-generation vehicle. Now, it has a noticeable rectangular grille like the one on the Elevate SUV, it appears considerably more elegant. It's not a coincidence that Elevate and Amaze use the same platform. A significantly slimmer grille replaces the previous one with a broad chrome bar. The bonnet is raised and stays flat.
The bi-focal LED headlights, dubbed Wing design, with signature DRLs further enhance its overall design.
For a compact sedan, the Amaze's cabin is spacious enough to accommodate five passengers comfortably. The seats are soft with cushions made of beige fabric. The interior showcases a beige and black theme which is common on most Honda cars in India. It doesn't give you a premium feel but a sense of tidiness and comfortability.
Even though Amaze lacks a sunroof, a sizable glass section contributes to its airiness. You also find enough leg and knee room in the rear seat area which may feel conjusted in some rivals. The center passenger now has a fixed headrest as well. Additionally, Amaze has three-point seatbelts on all the seats inside the cabin.
Talking about the infotainment and other controls, an 8.0” floating touchscreen is placed on the top of the dashboard. In addition, the dashboard also contains other controls such as an advanced temperature control board with a digital display in the center, a wireless smartphone charging station at the bottom, and two USB charging ports on the center console.
The instrument cluster, on the other hand, consists of both analogue and digital components. The speedometer has a real needle on an illuminated backdrop. The left side features a 7-inch digital display that can be switched between different information using the controls on the steering wheel. Many car settings, such as an auto lock on walkaway, can be managed with it. One feature that strikes out in this dashboard is the usage of buttons for nearly every function. It's easier to navigate on the go.
