Latest Update: Maruti eVX will be the first all-electric car from India’s largest automobile manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki. The eVX was showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Maruti Suzuki sees this flagship model as its entry to the global electric car market, where it will manufacture eVX and export to Europe and Japan. The Japanese automaker has aimed to produce 1.4 lakh units of the Maruti eVX and export at least 50% of these units into global markets.
The eVX is undergoing extensive road tests in India and other countries. The concept version showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo hints that the electric car from Suzuki will have a sleek and futuristic design tailored for modern car buyers.
It will have a closed-off front grille, unique Y-shaped lighting in the front, flush-type door handles, and connected taillights in the rear. Inside the cabin, the eVX SUV is expected to have a futuristic design with dual integrated screens and an extended set of advanced features.
It will be offered in single motor with two-wheel drive and dual-motor with all-wheel drive configuration. This upcoming Maruti electric car is expected to receive a 60kWh battery, claimed to offer 550 km of range on a single charge.
For dimensions, the electric SUV can measure 4.3 meters in length, 1.8 meters in width, and 1.6 meters in height. Additionally, the eVX will likely be manufactured in Maruti Suzuki’s Gujarat plant in India.
Price & Rivals
Maruti eVX electric SUV price in India will likely start from Rs 20,00,000 ex-showroom. If it launches in the market, the eVX will face competition from the Hyundai Creta EV, the MG ZS EV, and the Tata Curvv EV. The automaker can also position this upcoming Maruti electric car as a premium alternative to the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400 EV.
