Citroen C5 Aircross

The Citroën C5 is a mid-size premium SUV which rivals other premium mid-size SUVs such as the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, and Volkswagen Tiguan and marks the company's re-entry into the mid-size premium segment in India. 

The C5 Aircross’ exterior design features a larger double-chevron logo, a redesigned grille with chrome-studded lines blending into twin LED DRLs, and a single-unit headlamp cluster with a unique layered casing. Other design features include an upright stance, concave bonnet, robust body cladding, and two-tone 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The rear of the C5 Aircross features refreshed LED taillamps with a 3D effect.

The interior of the C5 Aircross features a plush and spacious cabin The interior is finished in premium materials, including leatherette upholstery, soft-touch surfaces, and satin chrome accents. Notably, the SUV features three individually slidable, reclinable, and foldable rear seats. The digital instrument cluster (12.3-inch TFT) and customisable ambient lighting enhance the modern ambiance. Other key features in the C5 Aircross include dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof (Shine variant), a hands-free electric tailgate, wireless phone charging, and a premium audio system. The safety features within the C5 Aircross include six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill start assist, and a blind spot information system. More safety features are front and rear parking sensors, a reverse camera, and park assist with automatic parking guidance. The SUV also features ISOFIX child seat mounts and an electric parking brake. The technological highlights include a fully digital driver’s display, advanced voice recognition (“Hello Citroën”), connected 3D navigation, and over-the-air updates for the infotainment system.

The C5 Aircross is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, producing 174 bhp and 400 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The engine delivers a certified mileage of around 17.5-18.6 km/l. The C5 Aircross features multiple drive modes such as Eco, Sport and Grip Control with settings for standard, snow, all-terrain, and sand.
