Exterior Design
The exterior design elements in the Citroën Basalt feature a sloping roofline, a chrome-lined Chevron logo, a two-part grille, and a faux silver skid plate. The Basalt also includes LED projector headlamps alongside signature LED daytime running lamps. The side profile of the Basalt features a squared-off wheel arch cladding, a pinched window line, and stylish 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear is marked by a stubby, well-contoured tailgate, 3D-effect halogen taillamps, and a chunky dual-tone bumper.
Interior Design
Step inside the Citroën Basalt, and the interior touches include a new HVAC panel with digital readouts and toggle switches, automatic climate control, and a larger front armrest with storage. Additional features in the rear of the interiors include adjustable thigh supportive and first-in segment contoured headrests. The airy cabin is accompanied by light upholstery and chrome accents. The Basalt also includes wireless phone charging, rear AC vents, and a spacious 470-litre boot.

The variant options within the Basalt include both naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines, as well as manual and automatic transmissions. The colour options within the Basalt are Polar White, Steel Grey, Platinum Grey, Cosmo Blue, and Garnet Red, with dual-tone black roof options available for the Garnet Red and Polar White variants.

The Basalt launched as part of Citroën’s C-Cubed programme. The Basalt is designed to blend the practicality of an SUV with the sporty aesthetics of a coupé to target urban buyers seeking style, comfort, and advanced safety.
The exterior of the Basalt features clearance with a sloping roofline and is built on the CMP platform, and it shares its front-end architecture with the C3 range. The highlights include thick body cladding, squared-off wheel arches, and a front fascia that reflects Citroën’s global design language.
Inside the Basalt, the interiors will greet its customers with space and comfort along with a focus on comfort and convenience for both driver and passengers. The Basalt is also equipped with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a rear parking camera with sensors. Citroën has also incorporated over 40 connected car features via the Citroën Connect 2.0 app, enabling remote engine start, door lock/unlock, and geo-fencing. The Basalt also introduces a 3-step smart tilt cushion for adjustable rear seat thigh support, and the additional features include automatic climate control, rear AC vents, projector headlamps, wireless charging, and practical storage solutions throughout the cabin.
The standard safety features within the Basalt across all variants include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat anchors, three-point seat belts for all occupants, seat belt reminders, hill hold control, speed sensing door locks, an anti-theft engine immobiliser, and a puncture repair kit.
The Basalt is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine which generates an output of 110 hp, available with both manual and torque converter automatic transmissions. The engine achieves a mileage of up to 18 km/l.
